Julie showed me the light with her almond milk, and I’m experimenting with other types of nut milk. Today’s experiment involved walnuts. This is more of a smoothie, but it has a really soft, chocolate flavor that reminds me of school cartons of chocolate cow’s milk. – Amanda
Chocolate Walnut Oat Milk
¼ cup oats
2 dates
¼ cup walnuts
1 cup soymilk
1 ½ banana
2 tablespoons cacao
Salt
Vanilla
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Ice
Directions
1. Soak the oats, walnuts and dates overnight
2. The next morning, puree with the remaining ingredients until smooth. Add water until desired consistency is reached.
